AEO(Authorized Economic Operator)


MOL Logistics (Japan) is the Japan's first freight forwarder to be named an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) for International Transport Business.

MOL Logistics (Japan) received its authorization from the Director General of the Tokyo Customs Service Headquarters on December 21, 2009.

ISO9001 (Quality Management System)

In December 1996, MOL Logistics (Japan) acquired certification of ISO 9002, the quality management system standard of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The ISO code was introduced in 1987 as an international standard to assure the structure and implementation of the certified company's basic quality management system.

After ISO 9002 been replaced by ISO9001 (2008 version) on December 2009, we've been given a permission to change the registration to the new standard (ISO9001:2015 version) on December 2017.
Currently, the certification covers our major establishments for export and import throughout Japan.

Responding to changes in social environment and diversification of customer needs, we strive to improve the quality of our total logistics service with hardware, software and human resources that meet the customer's specific logistics requirements.

ISO14001 (Environmental Management System)

Increasing population and economic globalization are fueling continued growth in world trade, and explosive expansion in the need for transport and logistics services. In today's age of mass consumption, caring for the environment and managing the world's limited resources are becoming more critical than ever.

Businesses today must take responsibility for the environmental impact of their activities, and MOL Logistics (Japan) is taking a proactive approach to environmental issues. As part of this effort, the company acquired international certification for its environmental management system.

As a part of the MOL Group, MOL Logistics (Japan) continues to promote environmental protection in line with the MOL Group Environmental Policy Statements.

Environmental Policy

MOL Logistics (Japan) will:

  • Properly deal with environmental impacts in its business operations and provision of service.
  • Set environmental objectives and environmental goals, and establish a framework to review them regularly to strive for continual improvement of environmental protection and take preventive measures.
  • In addition to observation of laws, regulations, and other requirement that we agree concerning the environment, set voluntary goals to reduce environmental load further.
  • Strive to save energy and resources and reduce waste, thereby reducing cost.
  • Establish objectives, goals and procedures in a document form for promotion of the above, and increase environmental awareness of employees and all who is servicing to us through environmental education and public relations activities.
  • Publicly announce this environmental policy through web site and other method to disclose our efforts to protect the environment.
