TOKYO-MOL Logistics (Japan) Co., Ltd. (President: Shuhei Togo; headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) and OTK Company, Ltd. (President: Hitoshi Itoman; headquarters: Minato-machi, Naha-shi, Okinawa Prefecture) today announced the conclusion of a business alliance agreement aimed at expanding cargo services in and out of Okinawa.

MOL Logistics has developed an extensive international logistics global network, with air and ocean transport and contract logistics as key businesses, while OTK is engaged in logistics services mainly in Okinawa Prefecture in Japan using ferries and RoRo ships.

Under the agreement, both companies will cooperate in promoting the development of high-quality logistics services based on international and domestic intermodal transport services by drawing upon both companies’ full services, networks, and facilities, and business activities to better serve customers.

For import cargoes from overseas to Okinawa Prefecture, which are expected to show further growth in the future, MOL Logistics and OTK will provide door-to-door intermodal transport services, including logistics information, and then meet customer needs with optimal transport means such as ocean and air transport services including consolidation for transport of made-in-Okinawa products to overseas, as well as sea and air intermodal transport service.
