TOKYO—MOL Logistics Co., Ltd. (MLG; President: Koichi Yashima) announced that, effective August 7, its subsidiary in Vietnam, MOL Logistics (Vietnam) Inc., started operations at its new office in the Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park 2 (VSIP2), Binh Duong Province, in the southern part of the nation.
Binh Duong Province labelled as a representative economic and industrial center in Vietnam, has the largest number of manufacturing companies in southern Vietnam, a concentration of industrial parks, with many Japanese companies establishing operations there. VSIP was established through a merger between Vietnamese and Singaporean state-owned enterprises, and is now one of the largest industrial parks in Vietnam that has developed in 4 locations with approximately 6,000 hectares of land. VSIP2 Office in Binh Duong is located importantly strategic for the customs office is located inside and can respond promptly to the submission of original customs clearence documents and customs inspections.
By opening a new sales office in VSIP2, MOL Logistics (Vietnam) will strengthen the system to provide logistics services that respond to the increasing number of businesses, including import/export customs clearance; domestic pickup and delivery for customers who have expanded into this industrial park, as well as neighboring industrial parks and surrounding areas.
MOL Logistics (Vietnam) was established in November 2005. Its headquarters is in Ho Chi Minh City in southern Vietnam, and it has a branch in Hanoi in the north, as well as 11 offices—at Noi Bai International Airport, Nomura Industrial Park, Hai Phong City, Hai Duong, Thai Binh, Quang Ninh, Ben Tre, Binh Duong, Da Nang, Dong Nai, and Ba Ria – Vung Tau along with the Haiphong Logistics Center and a warehouse in Song Than in the southern province of Binh Duong. With the opening of the VSIP2 Office, the company has a total of 16 locations in Vietnam. MLG’s worldwide network encompasses 141 offices and warehouses in 26 countries.
