MOL Logistics Selected for Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s ‘Corporate Scope 3 (Logistics Sector) Promotion Project (Air Freight and Ocean Freight)’

 June 11, 2026

TOKYO—MOL Logistics Co., Ltd. (MLG; President & CEO: Takeshi Ito) today announced that it has been selected as a freight forwarder subsidy recipient under the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s “Corporate Scope 3 (Logistics Sector) Promotion Project (Air Freight and Ocean Freight).”

This grant program aims to help reduce CO₂ emissions throughout the corporate supply chain. Eligible shippers can receive financial support from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government for all or part of the costs associated with using sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) for air freight transport and biofuels for ocean freight transport, through subsidy recipients such as MOL Logistics.

As a member of the MOL Group, MOL Logistics has been promoting the “BLUE ACTION NET-ZERO ALLIANCE” carbon insetting/Book and Claim program (Note 1) since 2025. Through this program, MLG customers can obtain the environmental attributes generated from the use of SAF or biofuels and have them allocated to their air and ocean freight transport. Customers participating in this program are now eligible to receive support in accordance with the guidelines of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s grant program.

The “BLUE ACTION NET-ZERO ALLIANCE” was established to help our customers reduce their Scope 3 emissions by working with stakeholders in the logistics sector to co-create and strengthen low‑carbon transport services that utilize alternative fuels and other measures, with the shared goal of achieving net‑zero emissions. Through its participation in this grant program, MLG will further advance this initiative.
