Explosive Screening of Air Cargo
Explosive Screening of Air Cargo
All air cargo entrusted to MOL Logistics is subject to mandatory explosive screening in accordance with the Civil Aeronautics Act.
The explosive screening conducted by our company is performed using X-ray inspection equipment. However, for large or heavy cargo that cannot be processed by X-ray equipment, cargo for which X-ray irradiation may adversely affect product value, pharmaceuticals, and similar items, screening by Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) equipment—conventionally used—may be permitted under special temporary measures.
For cargo that cannot undergo X-ray inspection due to specific circumstances, we ask that you attach an Air Cargo Security Declaration (Civil Aviation Bureau prescribed form) and an “X-ray Inspection Prohibited” label (Free form) to the cargo.
※Example of “No X-ray Inspection” Label
( The words “No X -ray Inspection” 「X 線検査 厳禁」must be included.)

Cargo that cannot be X-ray inspected and does not meet the conditions for application of the special temporary measures will need to be unpacked once in its accepted condition. For details regarding eligibility for special temporary measures, the feasibility of screening using Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) equipment, or transition to a Known Shipper program, please contact our sales representative or refer to our website.
