MOL Logistics Co., Ltd.
TOKYO—MOL Logistics Co., Ltd. (MLG; President & CEO: Osamu Sakurada) today announced that MOL Logistics (Deutschland) GmbH (MLG Germany), a MLG subsidiary in Europe, has opened a new logistics center near Gräfenhausen, Weiterstadt, in the German state of Hesse, as part of its business expansion in Europe. The center opened for business on January 2.

New logistics center in Weiterstadt, Germany
The new logistics center is located in the Frankfurt metropolitan area, offering an exceptionally convenient location for international transport. It connects directly to Autobahn 5, which traverses southwestern Germany, and is close to Frankfurt International Airport. This significantly enhances the efficiency of shipping and distribution while substantially reducing lead times for door-to-door transport within the global supply chain.
The center offers a wide range of logistics services, including domestic and international shipping, crossdocking, vendor-managed inventory (VMI), and docking, as well as value-added services such as kitting, labeling, packaging, and sorting. It is also equipped to handle specialized air cargo. Furthermore, it provides comprehensive IT solutions—including the adoption of a Warehouse Management System (WMS), EDI interfaces, and web-based visibility tools—to support customers’ supply chain optimization.
The MLG Group has positioned environmental strategy as a core pillar of its management plan, “BLUE ACTION 2035,” and is actively promoting the adoption of clean energy. This new logistics center prioritizes measures to reduce environmental impact and features a large-scale rooftop solar power generation system that supplies a significant portion of the site’s energy needs. In addition, by adopting heat pump technology to efficiently manage air conditioning in warehouses, offices, and common areas, MLG is accelerating the decarbonization and sustainable logistics initiatives outlined in its “BLUE ACTION 2035” plan.
As a trusted logistics partner, the MLG Group will continue working to address customers’ challenges and enhance service quality by proposing and delivering optimal, environmentally conscious logistics solutions.
