TOKYO – MOL Logistics (Japan) Co., Ltd., (Executive Director: Ko Hyodo) today announced the opening of PT. MOL Logistics Indonesia, a subsidiary providing a range of logistics services in the rapidly growing Indonesian market, on June 17.
Indonesia is enjoying significant economic growth and drawing attention as ASEAN’s next big production center and an emerging consumer market. The nation is positioned for continued growth in personal consumption, corporate investment, and so on. One after another, major automakers have announced plans to expand their production in Indonesia, fueling growth in both import and export cargo traffic as manufacturers of parts and components establish or expand production centers. These facility investments have also spurred demand for logistics services such as delivery and warehousing. By making its representative office in Jakarta into a subsidiary, MOL Logistics (Japan) is moving to enhance its operating base throughout the nation.
PT. MOL Logistics Indonesia will offer not only inbound and outbound air and ocean forwarding services, but also facility transport, household moving for executives being transferred to and from companies in Indonesia, and services to support production and logistics operations of companies doing business here. It will also strengthen ties with the MOL Logistics overseas network and take a proactive approach in offshore trade to expand business. Drawing upon MOL logistics’ contract logistics know-how, honed in China and other nations around the world, the company will meet ever-changing customer demands and develop services tailored to specific customer needs.
With the opening of the PT. MOL Logistics Indonesia, the MOL Logistics overseas network now has 73 offices in 64 cities and 21 nations. In Japan, the company has 21 offices in 15 cities.
