TOKYO-MOL Logistics (Japan) Co., Ltd. (President: Tetsuya Minato) today announced that its subsidiary in Mexico MOL Logistics Mexico, S.DE R. L. DE C.V. (President Minoru Ichikawa) has relocated its Irapuato Branch effective April 1, and started operation of its own warehouse, its first in Mexico. The company now has a complete system in place that allows them to provide a full range of logistics services, including temporary cargo storage.
Since it started operation in May 2013, the Irapuato Branch had built a base of operations in the Bajio Region on the Mexican Plateau in Central Mexico, focusing on support for installation and assembly of production facilities and related equipment and overseas moving for transfers of expatriate engineers and executives, as well as air, ocean, and land cargo transport services.
Recently, demand has increased in Mexico for other distribution-related services including collection and delivery and temporary storage of cargoes. In Mexico, MOL Logistics had provided storage services in Aguascalientes using the warehouses of its partner companies. But from now on, the company can provide distribution services even in Irapuato. It also provides packaging services not only for general cargo, but also for exports and goods in temporary storage.
