June 12, 2015

TOKYO-MOL Logistics (Japan) Co., Ltd. (President: Tetsuya Minato) today announced that its subsidiary in Indonesia, PT. MOL Logistics Indonesia (MLG Indonesia; President Director: Hiroshi Arita) has acquired a customs license, and on June 15, started handling its own customs clearance for air and ocean import and export cargoes in Indonesia.

MLG Indonesia offers its customs services with full-time customs broker stationed at the head office in Jakarta. The company also has established customs clearance services for import cargo arriving at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, where it opened its Jakarta Airport Office in January of this year. This will allow customers’ cargo to be processed and transported more swiftly than ever.

MLG Indonesia’s Jakarta Airport office is adjacent to the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. This is convenient to the cargo terminal, allowing to meet customers’ urgent needs. The company can control both customs clearance and cargo operations on its own, greatly enhancing convenience for customers.

Handling its own customs clearance gives MLG Indonesia a competitive edge in providing true door-to-door transport, with one-stop services for air and ocean forwarding, transport of facilities and equipment, and overseas household moving services for businesspeople who are assigned to overseas postings or returning to their home countries.

Meanwhile, the MOL Logistics Group also offers a full range of logistics services in Indonesia through its group warehousing company PT MOL Logistics Warehouse, which started operations in October 2014. The company can meet a variety of customer needs, such as warehousing of exported and imported products, inventory control, assortment and pickup, and delivery and distribution.

The MOL Logistics Group continues to develop and expand its worldwide network, improve service quality, and support customers’ supply chains as their trusted logistics partner.
