MOL Logistics Starts Contract Logistics Services in Northeast Jakarta

TOKYO-MOL Logistics (Japan) Co., Ltd. (President: Tetsuya Minato) today announced the opening of a warehouse in northeast Jakarta that will provide contract logistics services for a major Japanese manufacturer. The warehouse will handle products manufactured in the client company’s plants in Indonesia and other countries and those imported for the domestic market.

The warehouse is located in Jakarta Utara near Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok port in northeast Jakarta, It features elevated floors with total floor space of 2,500m2. Under the advanced Warehouse Management System (WMS), fifteen employees of MOL Logistics’ Indonesian warehousing company, PT. MOL Logistics Warehouse, are engaged in a range of tasks including entering and dispatching products using bar codes, making wooden crates, insertion of warranties, packaging of small products, warehousing, and other logistics operations. Demand for warehousing services is soaring in Indonesia, so the company is planning to expand its floor space in the very near future.
