TOKYO-MOL Logistics (Japan) Co., Ltd. (President: Tetsuya Minato) today announced the establishment of a new subsidiary in Sri Lanka, MOL Logistics Lanka (Private) Ltd. (MLG Lanka), and the launch of its operations on June 18.
MLG Lanka assumed the car carrier consignee shipping agency and logistics business previously handled by Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Lanka (Private) Ltd. in Sri Lanka, which is maintaining strong economic expansion and is positioned for growth in demand for logistics services. MLG Lanka will draw upon the MOL Logistics Group’s logistics know-how and global network to provide customers with a full range of services including air and ocean freight forwarding, domestic transport within Sri Lanka, warehousing, and customs clearance. It will enhance ties throughout the MOL Group under the banner of “One MOL.”
The establishment of the subsidiary in Sri Lanka expands the MOL Logistics network to 28 companies in 26 countries with a total of 121 business sites. MOL Logistics (Japan) is constantly on the move to develop and expand its global network and serve as a key partner in its customers’ supply chains.
