TOKYO-MOL Logistics (Japan) Co., Ltd. (President: Shuhei Togo) today announced that its subsidiary in Vietnam, MOL Logistics (Vietnam) Inc., has opened an office in Da Nang, central Vietnam, and will commence services on December 1.

Da Nang is centrally located in Vietnam, 960km from Ho Chi Minh City, and 760km from Hanoi, and serves as a core of the north-south logistics route, as well as a hub of the East-West Economic Corridor running through the Indochina Peninsula. The Da Nang Deep Sea Port is the nation’s third largest international trade port, following the Port of Ho Chi Minh City and Port of Hanoi.

The opening of the completed Da Nang-Quang Ngai Expressway, which connects Da Nang in central Vietnam and Quang Ngai in the south in September 2018, reduced travel time between these cities from more than three hours via National Route 1A to just over one hour. This allows for smooth cargo transport between Da Nang and Quang Nam and Quang Ngai provinces where many logistics facilities and manufacturing plants are located. This is expected to spur even greater investment in central Vietnam.

With the opening of the new office in Da Nang, the MOL Logistics Group will establish a structure to offer various logistics services such as loading operations, installation and delivery, import and export customs clearance, cross border transport, and so on, as well as inland trucking between the Port of Da Nang and its airport and to customers that have set up operations in the city’s surrounding areas.

MOL Logistics (Vietnam) was established in November 2005. Its headquarters is in Ho Chi Minh City in the south of Vietnam and it has a branch in Hanoi the north, seven offices-at Noi Bai International Airport, Haiphong, Hai Duong, Thai Binh, Quang Ninh, Ben Tre, and Binh Duong-and warehouse in Song Than in the southern province of Binh Duon. And with the opening of the Da Nang office, the company has a total of 11 locations in Vietnam.
