TOKYO-MOL Logistics (Japan) Co., Ltd. (President: Shuhei Togo) today announced that on January 21, its subsidiary in Vietnam, MOL Logistics (Vietnam) Inc., held an opening ceremony for the Haiphong Logistics Center serving northern Vietnam. The center started operation on January 1.
Ninety people including Dinh Vu Port Customs Branch (Customs Department of Haiphong) Director Nguyễn Văn Thanh, Dinh Vu Police Director Phạm Minh Tuân, and Chairman Dao Manh Sen of Vidifi Duyen Hai Investment JSC, the owner of the warehouse, were on hand for the ceremony. In his speech to the guests, MOL Logistics (Japan) President Shuhei Togo said, “With the opening ceremony of the Haiphong Logistics Center as a turning point, we will further enhance Vietnam’s domestic logistics business, continue to work harder than ever, and deliver a higher level of total logistics services, combined with international logistics.”
The Haiphong Logistics Center, situated next to the Dinh Vu Industrial Zone near the Port of Haiphong, is the 12th MOL Logistics location in Vietnam. It is also close to the Port of Lach Huyen, a large deep-water port that opened in May 2018, and offers convenient connections to major transportation networks serving Haiphong and other markets in northern Vietnam. The advanced, raised-floor-style facility has a total floor area of about 6,000m2, and is equipped with 15 dock levelers. With the opening of its own warehouse in Haiphong, the largest port city in northern Vietnam, the MOL Logistics Group will more effectively meet customers’ diverse logistics needs with capital investment, warehousing, and delivery services.
The MOL Logistics Group continually enhances logistics services in the Haiphong region, which is expected to post continued economic growth in the future, with connections to all of Vietnam, intra-Asia, and eventually to global markets, offering high-quality logistics services in close partnership with customers.
