MOL Logistics (Japan) Ocean Forwarding Center Group Starts Operation

June 1, 2009

TOKYO-MOL Logistics (Japan) Co., Ltd. (President: Toshifumi Kato) today announced the start of operations by the Ocean Transport Department’s Ocean Forwarding Center Group, established on April 1. MOL (Logistics) Japan has strengthened and expanded its role in ocean cargo trade in parallel with its mainstream air cargo operations as part of the MOL Group’s mid-term management plan VISION 2009. The company aims to enhance service quality and flexibility with the formation of this new organization, which began operations on June 8 in a new office.

The Ocean Forwarding Center Group takes an integrated approach to information gathering, serving as a central desk for international sea freight and import cargo delivery (domestic truck arrangement, selection and integration of warehousing and packaging companies, and coordination of export/import customs clearance). It also supports business departments with consultation services regarding ocean cargo operations. This further improves our services in the ocean cargo trade business.
