TOKYO – MOL Logistics (Japan) Co., Ltd. (President: Toshifumi Kato) today announced the merger of two wholly owned operation subsidiaries – M.O. Air Logistics, Inc., which serves the Kanto, Koshinetsu, and Chukyo districts, and Clearmate Co., Ltd., which covers the Kansai region. The merger is effective April 1 and the new company will operate under the M.O.Air Logistics name.
The new company will integrate the experience and know-how of both companies to enhance local expertise in each market, while working to continually upgrade service.
The merger reflects the MOL Logistics Group’s commitment to ongoing improvement in the quality of transport services that seamlessly link customers’ supply chains, ensure security, and comply with all laws and regulations. The group has also devoted considerable effort to acquiring the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) license to assure its customers of top-quality service.
M.O. Air Logistics has been licensed as an AEO Bonded Warehouse Operator, and will work swiftly to expand business in Kansai after the merger. The new company will acquire a license as an AEO Customs Broker in the future.
