TOKYO-MOL Logistics (Japan) Co., Ltd. (President: Tetsuya Minato) today announced that its subsidiary MOL Logistics (Vietnam) Inc. (MLG Vietnam; General Director: Yoshitomi Hirano) has opened an office in Ben Tre Province.

Ben Tre is one of 13 provinces forming the Mekong Delta Area located about 86km southwest of Ho Chi Minh City. It has an abundance of land available for development, and two industrial parks have already been built in this area. Vietnam’s regional economies are growing rapidly, and manufacturers including automotive-related companies have been establishing more and more production plants in outlying areas.

With the opening of the new office in the Mekong Delta Area, which is far south of Ho Chi Minh City, MLG Vietnam has established a system to offer more customized logistics services such as import custom clearance for production machinery and plant facilities, domestic transport, and delivery and assembly for customers that have set up operations in the surrounding areas. The new office will help the company provide faster, smoother customs clearance and related services with the provincial customs office to further enhance service quality.

MLG Vietnam was established in November 2005. With the new office in Ben Tre, it has a total of six locations including the Ho Chi Minh headquarters and Hanoi Branch, as well as offices in Hai Phong, Hai Duong, and Thai Binh.
