TOKYO-MOL Logistics (Japan) Co., Ltd. (President: Tetsuya Minato) today announced that its subsidiary in Vietnam, MOL Logistics (Vietnam) Inc. (MLG Vietnam; General Director: Yoshitomi Hirano), has opened a new office in Quang Ninh Province, northeastern Vietnam.
Quang Ninh Province faces Ha Long Bay, and is located about three and a half hours by car from Hanoi and about one and a half hours from Haiphong, the largest port in the northern part of Vietnam. As Vietnam’s economic expansion spreads to local areas, the Quang Ninh province is drawing attention as an up-and-coming production center for automobiles and related products, and many companies are establishing new plants and branch operations there.
MLG Vietnam’s system will provide faster, smoother, more effectively managed logistics services including customs operations
in its territorial customs offices, on-site shipment operations at plants, with drayage and other domestic shipping arrangements, in areas to the northeast of Haiphong. MLG Vietnam was established in November 2005. With the opening of the Quang Ninh office, it has a total of seven offices: Ho Chi Minh headquarters, the Hanoi Branch, and offices in Hai Duong, Thai Binh, and Ben Tre. Including the MLG Vietnam-operated Song Than Warehouse (in a suburb of Ho Chi Minh City in Binh Duong Province), the company has a network of eight locations in Vietnam.
MOL Logistics continues to develop and expand its worldwide network, improve service quality, and support customers’ supply chains as an innovative, dependable logistics partner.
