TOKYO-MOL Logistics (Japan) Co., Ltd. (President: Tetsuya Minato) today announced that its subsidiary in the U.S., MOL Logistics (U.S.A.) Inc. (President: Minoru Ichikawa), has opened a new office in Houston, Texas.

Houston, the fourth largest city in the U.S., is now a hub for energy, petrochemical, and trading companies, especially since the start of the shale gas revolution. MOL Logistics (U.S.A.) has been providing logistics services in Houston through its Dallas Branch. But in response to robust demand for overall logistics services in Houston as many companies from Japan and other nations set up operations in the city, the company decided to open an office there with the aim of expanding business, and set up a structure to provide a swift, comprehensive approach to meeting diversified logistics needs.

The new Houston Office offers a broad range of logistics services such as air, ocean, and land transport in/outbound Houston, transport of production facilities and related components, equipment installation, and assembly assistance for plant start-up, as well as overseas household moving for engineers and executives assigned to Houston.

The Houston Office is MOL Logistics (U.S.A.)’s 17th office opened in North America including Canada and Mexico since its foundation in 1963. The MOL Logistics Group continues to develop and expand its worldwide network, making concerted efforts to further improve service quality and support customers’ diversifying supply chains.
