MOL Logistics to Establish Nairobi Branch

May 31, 2017

TOKYO-MOL Logistics (Japan) Co., Ltd. (President: Tetsuya Minato) today announced that its subsidiary and Europe regional headquarters MOL Logistics Holding (Europe) B.V., acquired permission from the Republic of Kenya to open a branch office. The government’s decision, effective May 25, clears the way for the company to proceed with plans to start operations in the capital city of Nairobi in July. MOL Logistics Holding (Europe) B.V. has already assigned one Japanese employee to the city.

The MOL Logistics Group, as the first Japanese logistics company in Kenya, will provide high-quality transport services such as air shipments of high value-added products into and out of Kenya, ocean transport of heavyweight cargoes including plant facilities and equipment, truck/railway transport from the Port of Mombasa to inland Africa, overseas removal services for executives and engineers transferring overseas or returning home, and other services. In the future, the group plans to increase the number of branches in Africa, building upon its foothold in Nairobi.

MOL Logistics works in close partnership with its customers to meet a wide variety of logistics needs by continually developing and expanding its logistics networks on a global scale.
